The existence of God

Daily writing prompt
What’s something most people don’t understand?

A lot of things, but most prominently how the physical universe is evidence of the existence of God.

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20).

Arrogantly refuting the existence of God without doing the diligent work is as laughable as a toddler who thinks they should be allowed to drive. God is unimaginably great and above all. If you want to know He exists and attempt to understand Him, you’re going to have to humble yourself and admit you don’t know as much as you think you do. Of course He can still reveal Himself to you even if you are haughty, but it is much more befitting to humbly seek Him.

Divine free will and human free will

Daily writing prompt
Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?

In some yes, in others, I didn’t know what to expect. It’s always interesting when you pair God’s divine will with your own free will. I have definitely stumbled on this journey, but God has always, in His infinite wisdom, power and mercy, brought everything full circle so that at the end of the day He can be glorified through me. I seek to learn more and more how to conform to the perfect image of His Son, but it is comforting to know that in the meantime He is catching my every fall and every second I exist is because He has kept me safe.

The truth

God loves you. He made you, after all. He knit you in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:19). You can read all about it in His book, The Bible. The devil wants to blind you from seeing the truth, so he uses every trick he can think of: evolution, atheism, agnosticism, freethinking, nihilism, empty living, the list continues. Anything to keep you from seeing God the way He is: holy, loving fire. This world is passing away, and so are its desires; only the one who does the will of God will remain (1 John 2:17). Jesus is coming soon, and His reward is with Him (Rev. 22:12). There is no middle ground or neutral position; you are either for Him or you are against Him. Those who stand with Him will inherit eternal life with Him; those who stand outside the gate, the murderers, the idolaters, the liars, the homosexuals and sorcerers will be separated from Him forever, to be tormented day and night by the devil and his accomplices in the place commonly referred to as hell (Rev. 22:15). People, you don’t have time, and forever is a long time. Turn away from your wicked ways and seek the Lord before it’s too late. It won’t be easy, but with God it is more than possible.

May the Lord reveal Himself to you today.
